Raw images have four channels per pixel and 1024 by 544 pixels.

IMEC (Leuven, Belgium) is showing the sensor at SPIE Photonics West in San-Francisco and is offering samples for evaluation.

Multispectral imaging has applications in medical, industrial, security, automotive and augmented reality sectors and IMEC’s sensor shows the use of standard RGB filter at the same time as NIR-cut, NIR passband filters and on-chip microlenses down to pixel dimensions of 5-micron.

IMEC said that can provide high-yield optical filter integration with the potential for scalability to high-volume.
