India’s Cron AI raises funds for SenseEdge
Existing investor YourNest Venture Capital also participated in the round.
The company said the funds would be used to accelerate the delivery of SenseEdge modules. SenseEdge is an FPGA processing platform designed to bring AI processing to 3D sensor data that is intended to allow industries to be able to use 3D lidar-point cloud data and process it at the edge.
The SenseEdge module can take point data from lidar, radar, time-of-flight and depth image sensors and haptic systems and be used to multiple applications from automation, mobility, transportation, robotics to security and surveillance.
Cron Systems – which trades as Cron AI – was founded in 2015 by Tushar Chhabra and Saurav Agarwala. SenseEdge platform is in an advanced stage of development with test kits due to be sent to customers in 2H21.
The company opened a UK subisidiary Cron AI Ltd. (Derby, England) in September 2020.
