Industrial Ethernet connectivity evaluation kit spans multiple standards
The kit includes all the hardware and software components system manufacturers need to set up industrial Ethernet slave networks and serves as a starting point for their own developments; it assists with integration and helps system manufacturers get their products on to Europe’s industrial Ethernet market faster. It is based on IAR’s KickStart Kit for Renesas’ R-IN32M3-EC industrial Ethernet communication chip.

Renesas’ R-IN32M3 series improves industrial Ethernet network performance with optimised hardware accelerators, while reducing costs by supporting multiple protocols such as EtherCAT, CC-Link IE, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, CANopen and others from a single device. It can be used for real-time network communication in gateways, I/O controllers, PLCs/PACs, embedded controllers, industrial drives and multiple other networked applications. Its design flexibility allows system manufacturers to use one system design for several other networks and applications.
The “turbo real-time” technology embedded in the R-IN32M3 series ensures real-time performance up to the application level, with good performance per Watt. With pre-integration of major industrial Ethernet stacks by members of the Renesas partner network, system integrators will be able to get started with their industrial Ethernet designs instantly.
