Industrial router supports LTE, Gibagit Ethernet, SFP and IEEE802.11ac
Thanks to its powerful CPU (dual-core, 1.3GHz), the device achieves data rates of up to 1 Gbit/s and enables gigabit routing in industrial environments. DIN rail mounting, the functional and robust design and the possibility of use in an extended temperature range make the NB1800 a robust solution for any industrial application requiring a fast Internet connection. The router ensures reliable network connectivity with support for up to two LTE Advanced or IEEE 802.11ac modules, two Gigabit Ethernet and a fiber (SFP) port. The USB host connection allows file-based configuration and convenient uploading of new firmware. A serial interface for RS-232 or RS-485 opens up possibilities for remote maintenance of devices and systems. Two expansion slots are provided for application-specific interfaces.
Customer-specific applications can run directly on the router in an LXC container separate from the base system. Using the script-based SDK (Software Development Kit) or LXC Linux virtualization, any customer-specific applications can be integrated. For example, the NB1800 can be used as a protocol server by pre-processing the interface data itself and then forwarding it to its network interfaces. An integrated SD card also allows local storage of data.
The router software is based on proven components including an embedded Linux operating system. Dual SIM together with the modern WAN Link Manager offer redundancy and load balancing to ensure the highest possible availability in network connections of different providers. VLANs separate networks and provide dedicated communication channels for various applications. Quality of Service (QoS) allows prioritizing traffic and ensures that less important tasks do not block top-priority tasks. The VPN protocol suite allows the secure and easy connection of devices via remote.
The NB1800 supports many communication and routing protocols including MobileIP, OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BPG (Better Portable Graphics) and RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) as well as email and SMS for alerts and notifications.
