Industry backing for UK and Ireland STEM challenge
FIRST LEGO League one of the largest global STEM competitions, which attracts up to 35,000 teams over 90 countries. The competition challenges children from between 6 and 16 to use a robot to solve real-world problems. Teams comprise of up to 10 students, which each have an adult mentor as support. The teams have to show skills in robotics, programming, teamwork, research, problem solving and communication, with space exploration as the theme. RS’ sponsorship will allow 20 schools from disadvantaged areas in the UK to participate in the challenge.
Registration for the regional tournaments of the FIRST LEGO League INTO ORBIT challenge is open.
