Industry’s first wireless benchtop test set to connect with NB-IoT devices boosts rollout
The Anite SAS Interoperability Test Solution now supports the Cat M1 Test Plan validated by North American carriers.
The carrier validated the Test Plan following successful execution of test cases using the leading carrier acceptance solution SAS, as well as a device equipped with Qualcomm Technologies’ MDM9206 LTE IoT modem. Cat M1 is an narrowband IoT-centric variety of LTE that uses 1.4 MHz of spectrum to deliver 300 kbps to 400 kbps.
Keysight offers designers the ability to optimise IoT designs for critical performance attributes such as power consumption, RF performance and interoperability, by simulating the real world in the lab using the Keysight UXM. The UXM is the world’s first wireless test set to demonstrate connectivity with an NB-IoT device that complies to the NB-IoT standards.
“Keysight’s ability to support Cat M1 and NB-IoT technology using Qualcomm Technologies’ LTE IoT modems has resulted in IoT industry leading design and test solutions,” said Giampaolo Tardiolo, senior director for Chipset Mobile Test at Keysight Technologies. “These solutions help customers bring reliable IoT enabled devices to market more quickly.”
