The FIDO2 design is centred on the security certified SLE 78 chip and is based on specifications formulated by the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) Alliance, which has provided a framework for easy-to-use authentication. The demonstration will show how the FIDO2 kit can provide protection from phishing and replaying and also halt data being revealed through server breach attacks.

Infineon is the first manufacturer to publicly demonstrate a FIDO2 reference design. The SLE 78 security controller is the only single chip solution on the market that integrates a USB and NFC interface. It also features Infineon Integrity Guard to protect secret data, supply error detection and provide countermeasures against chip-level attacks.

Infineon’s demonstration will take place at the company’s booth (4523) this week at RSA Conference 2018.
