“We are all dismayed at the extent of this incredible suffering and destruction in Japan. Although our colleagues and friends are safe and doing well, this disaster has changed their lives and the lives of all people living in Japan. We, at Infineon, are all personally committed to supporting the people during the country’s reconstruction,” says Peter Bauer, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG.

Infineon employs a little more than 100 people in Japan; 95 of whom are Tokyo-based.  The semiconductor manufacturer has offered assistance for these employees to leave the region. It has rented accommodations and offices for employees and their families at further south situated
locations in Osaka and Nagoya.
