Demeter Partners and Phitrust Impact Investors led the investment round with participation from existing and new investors. The money will be used to accelerate and broaden product development and expand sales and marketing.
Irlynx’s first product is a sensor for human activity that can perform presence and absence detection, person counting and movement analysis.
The technology is a low-cost, uncooled pyroelectric detector based on a CMOS-compatible manufacturing process. It can be prepared as an array of from 16 by 16 pixels up to 128 by 128 pixels with a thermal resolution of 1 degree C. The main applications are energy saving, assisted living and security.
Irlynx was established in 2012 and its first products and development kits for them will be from the beginning of 2016.
