
Intel’s latest Next Unit of Computing (NUC) kits, in distribution
These new Intel NUC kits are now available from Mouser Electronics in nine models; NUC5i7RYH (powered by an Intel Core i7 processor), NUC5i5RYH and NUC5i5MYBE (both with an Intel Core i5 processor), and the NUC5i3MYBE and NUC5i3RYH (both with an Intel Core i3 processor) support up to 16 GBytes of SDRAM on two DDR3L SO-DIMM sockets and offer expansion support through slots for an M.2 SSD card and 2.5-inch HDD. The NUC5i5RYK (built on an Intel Core i5 processor) and NUC5i3RYK (with an Intel Core i3 processor) also support 16 GBytes on dual DDR3L sockets, and include an M.2 SSD slot for storage.
The desktop-replacement NUC5CPYH kit (with an Intel Celeron processor N3050) and the entry-level NUC5PPYH kit (Intel Pentium processor N3700) support up to 8 GBytes of SDRAM on a DDR3L SO-DIMM socket. The kits feature internal SATA3 support for a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD as well as an SDXC slot for additional storage.
All of the kits provide integrated Gigabit Ethernet and Intel Wireless-AC Wi-Fi networking as well as expansion configurations for PCI Express (PCIe) cards. Two USB 3.0 ports on the front panel, two USB 3.0 ports on the back panel, and two internal USB 2.0 ports (via headers) provide additional peripheral connectivity.
