Interplex Hungary adds overmolding capability to its manufacturing services
As part of its expansion, Interplex Hungary added a 30-ton overmolding line in addition to a 40-ton vertical press. The company anticipates adding two 150-ton machines in early 2013. The new capability is part of a growth strategy of Interplex Hungary which has included a five-thousand square-foot facility expansion and the addition of a 100-ton stamping press. Interplex will be targeting applications such as connectors and sensors for the Automotive, Industrial and Electronic industries.
The first overmolded products to be produced in Interplex Hungary will be a range of automotive connectors transferred from Interplex Soprec in Besancon, France. Newly-designed overmolded programs are anticipated to begin production at Interplex Hungary during the first half of 2013.
