The ISL28208 features wide common-mode range inputs that function below ground and a rail-to-rail output that offers design flexibility for single or dual supply operation. The device’s rugged input stage provides tolerance to sustained input overloads. The device incorporates the precision, power efficiency, voltage range and ruggedness to operate in the most demanding applications. It features low offset voltage (230 microV maximum), low temperature drift (0.1 microV/°C typical), 123 dB common mode rejection ratio and 128dB power supply rejection ratio where higher accuracy is needed in high-end instrumentation. In addition, the ISL28208 power consumption is only 2 milliWatts per channel operating from a 12 V supply.

Fabricated using Intersil’s proprietary precision silicon-on-insulator (SOI) bipolar process technology, the ISL28208 exhibits robust latch-up immunity. ESD ratings of 3 KV human body model and 300 V machine model increase system reliability in harsh industrial environments. As the newest member of the industry-leading Intersil PR40 process op amp portfolio, the ISL28208 provides the same wide 40 V supply range as the ISL28218 but at even lower power. Overall, Intersil’s 40 V op amp family provides the industry’s best combination of accuracy, low noise and power consumption.

The ISL28208 dual amplifier will be initially offered in an 8-pin, SOIC package with additional packages to follow. Pricing starts at $1.70 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
