The switches are designed for high drive currents of up to 200 mA, are current limited, and short-circuit-proof. The pins on the 24V line side of the sensor interface are protected against reverse polarity, making any external reverse polarity protection diodes superfluous. An integrated switching converter with two downstream linear regulators generates a 5/3.3/2.5/1.8 V and a 3.3V voltage for sensor supply. The power supply range is from 4.5 to 36V within a temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. Additionally a temperature sensor is implemented which can be read via SPI. The QFN24 package is RoHS compliant and measures only 4x4mm.
