IQE appoints SVP for comms, security, as CFO steps down

Wafers and materials supplier IQE plc (Cardiff, Wales) has appointed Peter Rabbeni as senior vice president, of the communications infrastructure and security business unit. This comes shortly after CFO Tim Pullen resigned suddenly.

Rabbeni’s appointment is lead IQE expansion within the communications infrastructure, data centre, and aerospace and security markets.

Rabbeni joins IQE after spending more than a decade in executive roles with chip  manufacturer GlobalFoundries Inc. Prior to joining GlobalFoundries, Rabbeni held a variety of posts at IBM, as well as engineering positions at Ericsson and Raytheon.

Outgoing CFO Pullen has been replaced by Neil Rummings as acting CFO while IQE begins a search for a permament CFO. Americo Lemos, CEO of IQE, said: “I want to thank Tim for his many contributions to IQE. He has been a strong CFO and partner and has created the financial foundation to enable our next phase of growth.”
