ITRI’s foldable AMOLEDs approaching commercial standards, reports CTIMES

News media CTIMES posted a video of the demonstrator being subjected to 1kg of steel wool friction, which the display can withstand over 50,000 times thanks to an extra composite material layer ITRI developed to increase wearing and anti-folding performance.
According to CTIMES’ report, the flexible AMOLED display on demo already meets the requirements of smart mobile devices and ITRI has reached production maturity, though it keeps refining the products’ performance including display stability and full integration of touch functions while also strengthening anti-wear and folding capabilities.
