IXYS extends high power device range up to 3600-V
Available with repetitive peak off-state voltage grades from 3 kV to 3.6 kV and average current rating of 327 A at 85 degrees Centigrade case temperature, these versatile modules are constructed using a new bus bar design with more robust construction. The new mechanical design retains an industry standard connection footprint, mounted on an electrically isolated base plate. The internal construction utilizes full pressure contact for maximum performance and reliability. Package outline complies with industry standards and has UL recognition.
Applications for the devices include soft-starts, industrial drives, wind power converters, electrochemical power supplies and welding, plus all rectifier and power conversion in the multi 100 kW range.
Modules are available in MCC (Dual Thyristor), MCD (Thyristor/Diode) and MDC (Diode/Thyristor) configurations with voltage grades 3 kV, 3.2 kV, 3.4 kV and 3.6 kV.
