
Jay Alexander named CTO of Keysight
Mr. Alexander, whose appointment is effective immediately, will lead the technology development at Keysight Technologies, Agilent’s electronic measurement business who will be spun off from the parent company and start its operative business coming August. He also will be responsible for the development of the product roadmap and for the resource allocation across divisions; his mission is to transform Keysight’s product portfolio to meet customer needs.
Alexander has spent its entire professional career at Agilent and Hewlett Packard, the company of which Agilent has been spun off in 1999. He joined HP in 1986 as a manufacturing and test engineer; later he held responsibilities for oscilloscope and logic analyser tests. For Agilent he oversaw product planning in the Design Verification business and later he held leading positions in Agilent’s Electronic Measurement Architecture and Business Intelligence. The holder of a master’s degree in computer science is senior member of IEEE and holding 24 US patents.
