JetCool comes to Europe

Liquid cooling specialist JetCool is expanding into Europe on the back of the AI boom through a deal with Dell and Unicom.

The strategic expansion of JetCool into the European and Asian markets is supported by Dell’s PowerEdge server technology with UNICOM Engineering’s extensive service and support network for AI data centres.

JetCool has increased its manufacturing capabilities by 20x year-over-year to meet the surge in orders for its cool plate systems. The SmartPlate System is a self-contained liquid cooling system designed to maintain the peak performance of high-density servers without downtime.

The expansion is a response to customer demands for standardized IT infrastructure in data centres across the US, Europe, and Asia.

The technology delivers an average of 15% power savings compared to state-of-the-art air-cooled servers and reduces CPU temperatures by up to 10°C, mitigating thermal throttling and extending the lifetime of the hardware. This can provide half the upfront costs of conventional liquid-cooled systems and is deployable in warm environments over 35°C, enabling additional power reductions at the facility level.

“Our collaboration with Dell Technologies and UNICOM Engineering is crucial for broadening our market reach and addressing the urgent needs of regions facing significant power constraints,” said Dr Bernie Malouin, CEO of JetCool.

“By integrating our innovative SmartPlate System with Dell PowerEdge servers and leveraging UNICOM Engineering’s global integration and service network, we are not only expanding our global footprint but also delivering energy-efficient cooling solutions where they are needed most. This expansion is pivotal in helping our customers optimize their data center operations under challenging conditions.”

The SmartPlate System is pre-installed on select 1U and 2U Dell PowerEdge servers, with comprehensive service and support provided by UNICOM Engineering.
