Keysight was able to verify Gbps IP data throughput with the Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, and the E7515A UXM wireless test set. This accomplishment brings support for LTE-A category 16 (Cat16) IP data throughput in a benchtop network emulator and was demonstrated live at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in February 2016. Keysight and Qualcomm Technologies worked together to achieve sustained IP data downloads of 1Gbps, utilising a combination of three component carrier aggregation (3CC), 4×4 downlink MIMO and 256QAM modulation.

Keysight presents the UXM as offering first benchtop support for five component carrier (5CC) data throughput and 1.6 Gbps data rates via 4CC carrier aggregation and 4×4 downlink MIMO. Along with increased data throughput rates, the UXM adds device performance verification with support for 8×2 and 8×4 downlink MIMO, up to four component carriers in a single test set (in two bands), and an integrated iPerf network throughput tool.
