Molex, with annual sales of about $3.6 billion and 36,000 employees, has been merged with Koch Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary, Koch Connectors Inc. and as a result ceases to be a public company. Molex is now an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries. Under the terms of the deal the company will retain its name and headquarters in Lisle, Illinois and continue to be operated by the current management team.

"This acquisition represents a new platform for growth and innovation for us. We’re looking forward to applying our market-based management philosophy at Molex to help identify and capture additional opportunities," said Dave Robertson, president and COO of Koch Industries, in a statement.
