Kontron signs long term agreement to supply Russian smart grid

The agreement was concluded between FGC UES and Kontron’s Russian subsidiary, RTSoft, and will involve the development of joint new hardware and software solutions to boost the reliability and efficiency of Russian electricity suppliers. Kontron will also be developing and supplying the systems and solutions that result from the collaboration.
Kontron’s CEO, Ulrich Gehrmann, anticipates a high level of orders over the coming years as a result of the cooperation, stating that smart grids represent a booming market across the world.
