Lansdale and Freescale to manufacture military wide band amplifier with AGC
The ML1590 is supplied in (8) lead metal cans to Standard Microcircuit Drawing (SMD) 5962-876570 ICs, originally designed and built by Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. Lansdale has single-source rights to both globally market and continue to manufacture to the Department of Defense Specification MIL-PRF-38535 – Integrated Circuits Manufacturing, General Specification MIL-STD-883-test Method Standard Microcircuits and MIL-STD-1835 – Interface Standard Electronic Component Case Outlines.
The ML1590 operates over the full military temperature range of -55 degrees C to +125 degrees C. Applications support mature circuit designs in military systems as well as new designs for video amplifiers, mixers and staged IF amplifiers and can be used in navigation test instrumentation and GPS.
Lansdale’s exclusive product life cycle management system is a quality control system that guarantees form, fit, and function equal to the original manufacturer’s design specifications. The Lansdale model has become increasingly critical as the rapid growth of the counterfeit industry has increased the problem of maintaining a reliable source of components for long-life systems. “With counterfeit electronic components becoming more of a global industry nightmare, Lansdale’s 50 plus years of product life cycle management, support and manufacturing using only the OEM’s original tooling has become even more critical in today’s market” stated Lillard. This assures a continuous source of high performance IC’s to the worldwide electronics market.
