The 2050’s feature list suits it for embedded Wi-Fi module for a range of vertical applications, including warehousing and logistics, industrial automation, retail and commercial, healthcare and medical devices, environment monitoring, military, and cargo and public transportation. It has production-ready application stack and connection management, plus dual band Wi-Fi in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with antenna diversity for seamless coverage in challenging locations. This module also works over a very wide temperature range, from -40°C up to +85°C. As well as delivering a complete, standards-compliant, drop-in wireless solution, the PremierWave 2050 also eases integration and accelerates development, thanks to its production-ready software stack and modular RF certification.
The module has been designed to ensure a long, maintenance-free product lifetime with features such as OTA (over the air) field upgradeability, and multiple management modes including web browser and serial port, plus XML support. Service staff can access diagnostics, monitoring and maintenance functions via Wi-Fi without taking the module out of service or interrupting ongoing communications links.
