Low power programmable logic vendor Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (Hillsboro, Oregon) has appointed Ford Tamer, as CEO and to the board of directors.
Tamer replaces Esam Elashmawi, who served as interim CEO since June 2024. Lattice has been conducting an executive search since Jim Anderson departed the CEO’s post to go lead Networking and lasers company Coherent Corp. – formerly II-VI Inc.
Elashmawi will continue to serve as the company’s chief strategy and marketing officer, a position he has held since September 2018 and maintained while serving as interim CEO.
Tamer has been a senior operating partner at equity capital company Francisco Partners and before that was CEO of Inphi for over nine years. There he led the company to become the market leader for electro-optics solutions for cloud and telecom operators. Tamer currently serves on the boards of directors of Teradyne Inc. and Groq Inc. and until recently served on the board of Marvell Technologies Inc.
