Jeff Richardson, chairman of the Lattice board, said, “Jim brings a strong combination of business and technical leadership with a deep understanding of our target end markets and customers. The transformation he drove of AMD’s computing and graphics business over the past few years is just a recent example of his long track record of creating significant shareholder value.”

Glen Hawk, chief operating officer, has served as interim-CEO since Darin Billerbeck stepped down as CEO on March 16, 2018. Hawk will serve as a special advisor to the CEO through October 31, 2018, to help ensure a smooth transition before leaving Lattice to pursue other opportunities.

Prior to leading AMD’s computing and graphics business group, Anderson held engineering and management positions at Intel, Broadcom Limited and LSI Corp.

According to an 8K form filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Anderson’s annual salary is $550,000 and he will receive a signing-on bonus of $400,000 as well as numerous equity compensation awards.

The equity compensation awards are designed to provide an option value of $4.4 million and further equity compensation awards with an option value of $4.4 million but based on delivering certain shareholder return and adjusted EBIDTA targets.

On his linkedin page Anderson said: “It is with very mixed emotions that I announce I’m leaving AMD to pursue a long-time personal goal of leading a semiconductor company. AMD is an incredible company and the past few years have been the most exciting part of my career so far.”
