Depending on the requirements of the user, the stopband attenuation characteristics can have either 40 dB (3:1 shape factor) or 60 dB (3:1 or 2.5:1 shape factor). These LC filters are designed for a wide range of operating temperatures from -55°C to +105°C and are therefore suited for industrial, military and space applications. The return loss of the standard series is guaranteed to be 12 dB minimum across the frequency band of interest. Typically, this will be 15 dB minimum both on S11 and S22 measurements.

Filters requiring 40 dB stopband attenuation are in a small 1.0” (L) x 0.5” (W) x 0.29” (H) SMD package. For filters requiring 60 dB attenuation and higher selectivity, a larger 1.5” (L) x 0.5” (W) x 0.29” (H) SMD package is available. Custom packaging is also available, including through-hole and connectorized options. Manufacturing and reliability methods can be incorporated for products that require special hermetic and ruggedizing applications.

Filters with frequencies from 5 MHz to 100 MHz are usually available within eight weeks. For higher frequencies, MSC’s applications team will work with users to design the right custom filter to meet their needs.
