LED Engin to become part of Osram’s Specialty Lighting business unit
The 30-employee company with annual sales of around USD 10 million specializes in ultra-bright, ultra-compact solid state lighting solutions for a number of specialty markets including entertainment lighting, ultraviolet, horticulture, tuneable white and medical lighting applications.
Because its products mainly incorporate LED chips from Osram Opto Semiconductors, the acquisition will be a natural fit and LED Engin will be integrated into the professional and industrial applications section of Osram’s Specialty Lighting (SP) business unit.
