LED product family covers range from 5 to 18 watts with improved dimming
The new product line comprises the following models
- MR16 GU5.3: 20-30W equivalent, reduced from 6/7 watts to only 5 watts
- PAR30S: 60-75W equivalent, reduced from 16 watts to only 13 watts
- PAR30L: 60-75W equivalent, reduced from 16 watts to only 13 watts
- PAR38: 70-80W equivalent, reduced from 19/20 watts to only 16 watts
- PAR38: 90-110W equivalent, reduced from 20 watts to 18 watts, available in higher lumens from 1100 to 1200
- BR30: 65W equivalent, reduced from 14 watts to 11 watts, available in higher lumens from 650 to 800 and now also in 4000K
The company also released its new high lumen output BR40 LED lamps, which serve as a direct replacement for 65-watt incandescent bulbs (using new Energy Star criteria). Using only 13 watts, this lamp is available in 1000 lumens and 2700 and 4000K color temperatures. With a rated life of 40,000 hours, the BR40 is ideal for recessed downlights and open hanging fixtures.
Toshiba also announced improved dimmer compatibility with Lutron C•L Dimmers. C•L dimmers are designed and UL listed for controlling a broad range of dimmable LED bulbs and alleviate the reliability challenges of dimming LEDs. Toshiba’s lamps that are currently compatible with C•L dimmers include:
- 4W B11
- 13W PAR30S
- 13W PAR30L
- 16W PAR38
