Leti embeds its sensor fusion algorithms into Infineon’s Aurix platform
SigmaFusion transforms the myriad of incoming distance data into clear information about the driving environment. It combines, merges and feeds exhaustive data to an autonomous car’s autopilot perception layer. The system is able to detect any kind of obstacle and to assess obstacle-free spaces for safe route navigation.
The sensor fusion solution delivers environment perception based on multi-sensor detection, providing a safe assessment of the free space surrounding the vehicle thanks to occupancy grid generation. The algorithms are compatible with any kind of sensors providing either raw or object data, they boast a predictable behaviour and proven reliability standing on mathematical foundations.
