LG Display claims world’s first OLED lighting convergence with furniture
The desk light claims to be the first of its kind in the world to use OLED light panels as the light source. The new OLED desk light is separately attached to the desk shelf, and it is designed to produce highly uniform OLED light.
LG Display attracted public attention when the company installed 1,100 OLED panels for reading lights at the KwanJeong Library at Seoul National University in March 2015.
The university adopted the lighting solution because it offers excellent light quality, design differentiation with the thin, lightweight OLED panels, and reduces eye
fatigue as the light waves are similar to natural sunlight. According to an SNU survey, 91% of the students in the KwanJeong Library find the OLED reading lights eye-friendly, and 94% say it improves concentration.

213 mm x 113 mm OLED panels located horizontally. The panel helps improve concentration as it is a surface light source that offers superior light quality covering a large area with minimum shadow. It is also the most appropriate light source for a studying environment as it offers gentle light without flicker.
