Libero SoC software certified to IEC 61508 for functional safety
The certification will allow developers to take advantage of the SEU immune, instant-on and lower power FPGAs and design products that will conform to EC 61508:2010 using the certified Libero tool chain.
Libero v11.5 SP2’s functional safety certification will support Microsemi’s IGLOO and ProASIC3 FPGAs, as well as many IP blocks. Developers using Microsemi’s new Functional Safety Data Package and a certified version of Libero will save design time by passing functional safety tests more easily. The Libero SoC software is ideal for FPGA designs in the industrial, medical, locomotive, avionics and defence markets.
Microsemi’s Functional Safety Data Package includes information on relevant devices and their capabilities; Libero SoC Design Suite v11.5 SP2; Libero SoC documentation; relevant IP cores and associated documentation; and IEC 61508 Safety Data Manual.
