
Light Shaping Diffusers improve light quality in many applications
The diffuser can be applied directly to an existing optical component such as a condenser lens. This type of beam shaping from Luminit can be utilized in many applications including homogenization of LEDs and cold light sources or creating specific beam geometries such as lines or circles for laser and projection systems. Typical markets are LED technology, laser, automotive and medical markets, sensors, displays as well as signal and outdoor lighting.
A patented holographic master shaping process applies the desired structure to a polycarbonate or glass carrier. Depending on the basis material every form factor can be created, including on reel material. The nanostructures applied to the carrier can be furnished with a deflection angle between 0.2° and 100°. The efficiency of the material is better than 92%. No shadows, Moiree effects or chromatic aberration occurs.
The Luminit diffusers are now available at speciality distributor Acal BFI. Potential customers can submit a short description of their application; in return they get a sample sheet with various diffusion angles.
