LIN-based chipset offers integrated solution for comfort functions
The MLX81325 is an integrated intelligent motor driver with LIN (Local Interconnect Network) connection and a protocol controller delivered in a small 32-pin 5 mm x 5 mm QFN32 package. This enables precise control of power FETs for efficient, low-noise operation of brush motors. The integrated solution contains four FET PWM drivers, 32 KB flash memory and 16 KB ROM. Various diagnostic functions are added, and a current sensor provides intelligent protection against jamming/crushing. A total of eight I/O lines allow direct connection of Melexis’ position sensors and simplify system design – especially the provision of self-learning softstop functions.
The MLX92255 CMOS-based mixed-signal IC is a second-generation dual-hall effect latch. It offers two speed outputs and an integrated voltage regulator. Each Hall sensor features advanced offset suppression and two open-drain output drivers. The module is supplied in a small 5-pin TSOT package measuring 2.75 mm x 2.90 mm.
