Logging solution records ADAS data synchronously

Data logging solutions available on the market usually have to fit when it comes to collecting sensor data from different manufacturers. This is where the overall solution from Vector comes in: CANape log records large amounts of data from different sources synchronously. Using the scalable VX1161 measurement hardware and VN network interfaces, users connect sensors, ECUs and networks, such as Automotive Ethernet, to the logger. Raw data from video streams as well as radar data are also recorded.

In stand-alone mode, the user monitors and controls the logger via a browser-based user interface. In interactive mode a laptop with CANape is coupled to the logger hardware. In this way the full range of CANape functions is available without having to change the wiring in the vehicle.

The solution presented is scalable in many ways. Different logger platforms are available depending on the required computing power and data rate: The VP7400 processes data at up to 1 GByte/s. The VP6400 is designed for up to 500 MByte/s and the VN8911 with up to 15 MByte/s completes the portfolio. A multi-PC solution with additional hardware modules tuned by only one CANape log allows recording rates to be increased at will.
