LoRaWAN and BLE sensor with an external probe
The Sentrius RS1xx External Series probe allows the sensor to be mounted outside of a device to measure the temperature inside through the probe, making it easy to monitor environmental data. The rugged and configurable sensor device uses both LoRaWAN and Bluetooth low energy (BLE) connectivity in a small form factor. The RS1xx External Series can be paired with the Sentrius RG1xx LoRa Gateway to quickly deliver an advanced wireless ecosystem with superior RF performance.
The RS1xx External Series probe supports a temperature range from -55 to 125°C. It reliably sends sensor data in harsh RF environments over long distances to remote LoRaWAN gateways, and the BLE connectivity option allows sensor data to be sent to smartphones and tablets. The sensor uses Laird Connectivity’s field-proven RM1xx module hardware, providing LoRaWAN options in 868 and 915MHz frequencies, plus BLE.
The RS1xx comes equipped with robust enclosures, robust multi-layer security to safeguard networks at every level, support services, and it is fully certified for FCC, IC, CE, and Bluetooth SIG listing.
