
LoRaWAN wireless accelerometer with edge computing
The 8911 combines a sensor, data collector and a LoRaWAN radio into a small, battery-operated device. It is designed to provide ambient temperature and calculate FFTs internally. LoRaWAN offers low power, wide area networking connectivity to the internet with a longer transmission distance and more immunity to external signal interference. It provides a secure method of expanding condition-based maintenance into plant areas where it can be expensive to expand physical wiring.
The accelerometer comes in a corrosion-resistant stainless steel case and plastic cover measuring 1.25” hex x 3.1” height. The rugged stainless steel sensor housing with IP66 rated o-ring seal allows the sensor to perform well in harsh environments. It has a standard mounting footprint and stud size for fast installation on existing and new machinery.
9811 has up to 10 years of battery life based on a certain sampling interval. It uses a piezo-electric sensing element to provide high bandwidth, superior measurement resolution and ultra-low power vs MEMS solutions.
