Toshiba has launched an ESD protection diode, DF2B7M3SC, with the lowest capacitance in its class at 0.1 pF, for protection of connections such as USB3.0/2.0, HDMI, eSATA, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, and other high speed data lines from ESD.

The product uses the newly developed ESD Diode Array Process III (EAP III), and maintains the same ESD protection level with 50% of the capacitance of equivalent products. It also has a small insertion loss and low noise figure, and can be used for wireless applications that are sensitive to signal and noise levels.

Working Peak Reverse Voltage (VRWM) is 5V (Max); Total Capacitance (Ct) is 0.1pF at a reverse voltage of 0V, measured at both 1 MHz and 5 GHz; and the Guaranteed ESD Protection (VESD) figure is ±8kV according to IEC61000-4-2 (Contact Discharge).
