Low-power startup recruits former Intel chief scientist as CTO
Prior to joining Eta Compute, Srinivasa worked with Intel Labs as chief scientist and senior principal engineer, leading Intel work on neuromorphic computing.
Prior to that, he was the director of the Center for Neural and Emergent Systems at HRL Laboratories in Malibu, California, where he served in various capacities over an 18-year period including as the principal investigator for several DARPA programs including the SyNAPSE, Physical Intelligence and UPSIDE programs.
Eta has recently launched its delay insensitive asynchronous logic (DIAL) technology as a first step towards offering intelligence for embedded systems and devices. Eta said that as CTO Srinivasa will be responsible for driving the evolution of the company’s machine learning expertise to take advantage of this platform.
“With the extraordinary low power of DIAL Technology, we can develop efficient processors that will enable machine intelligence for mobile and edge devices,” said Srinivasa, in a statement issued by Eta.
