
LTE eSIM comes to Lenovo MIIX 630 customers
The eSIM enables users to buy services on the fly, especially when they travel or to change services as needed without having to wait for a SIM card in the mail. Users can also buy services as thye are needed, enabling operators to offer a wide variety of packages and price points that can be selected and configured on the device itself. The eSIM is software configurable and easily updated. Due to its small size it is also ideal for wearables and IoT devices.
At CES 2018 teams demonstrated the detachable PCs “Always Connected” characteristics via Transatel’s preloaded profile.
Transatel is one of the global cellular enablers behind the 100 percent LTE PC, offering prepaid data plans offered via the Windows Store.
