M12 connectors for fast and safe field assembly
The new M12 connectors enable a fast and fail-safe assembly in the field. Secure and robust connections are provided by Crimp snap-in contacts, while the crimp flange ensures 360° shielding and a secure cable strain relief. The 5-pole M12 connector with A code according to IEC 61076-2-101 is specified for CAN-Bus applications, while the 8-pole M12 connector (A code) addresses Ethernet applications. The connectors are specified according to IP67. The new M12 connectors operate at an operation voltage von 50VDC and with a current rating of 4A. Wire sizes from 0.34 mm2 (AWG22) to 0.5mm2 (AWG20) are supported. The temperature range is specified with -20°C to +85°C and the connectors comply with quality level 2 for 200 mating cycles.
