Patlon is a leading technical sales organization targeting the military, aerospace, transportation, industrial and electronics sectors on behalf of major OEMs and specialist manufacturers. Based in Halton Hills Ontario, Patlon has offices in Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver in Canada.

Martek Power is an industry and technology leader in the design and production of standard and custom AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC power converters and DC/DC power inverters for military, heavy duty transportation, aerospace, medical, telecom and hybrid/electrical vehicle markets.

Patlon already works alongside several Cooper Industries companies including Sure Power, well known for its power management products, and circuit protection and power distribution specialist Cooper Bussmann.

According to Mike Carter, Managing Director of Martek Power’s UK facility, the agreement initially covers Martek Power products designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom specifically for on-board and trackside railway applications. These include Martek Power’s Powertron branded power sources.

“We already partner several leading Canadian-based railway systems manufacturers and look to Patlon to enhance our support for these customers and to help us increase our penetration of this important market. Canada is a major supplier to the global railway industry and is home to a large number of manufacturers keen to work with suppliers who understand the railway business and the industry standards and practices that need to be met,” explained Carter.

All standard and custom Martek and Martek Powertron power supplies are designed to ensure industry standards such as EN50155 and RIA 12.
