The company said it plans to invest $25 million in the centre, which will focus on R&D into analog semiconductor design and product development across multiple market sectors.

There are currently 10 jobs on offer there including several members of technical staff and senior and junior layout engineers. There is also a position for someone to recruit more staff for Maxim from across Europe. The Dublin facility is Maxim’s seventh design center in Europe.

“With this new facility, we plan to reinvent the way we develop technology and push innovation even further, giving our customers the products they need to succeed,” said David Dwelley, chief technology officer at Maxim Integrated.
