Mediatek, LG to embed ultra low latency Bluetooth

Mediatek is developing chips with an ultra low latency Bluetooth technology developed by LG.
The LG ultra low latency Bluetooth technology has been used first for a gaming controller developed by Razer. This was used with an LG webOS smart TV demonstrating a 1ms input lag.
LG and MediaTek jointly developing the BT ULL technology to be integrated into the existing MT7921 WiFi6 chipset, which uses technology from MediaTek’s Filogic series.
Razer developed the first game controller featuring BT ULL technology for various cloud-based games, including FPS, fighting and racing titles.
LG plans to introduce a certification program for third-party game controllers in the near future to ensure BT ULL-supported controllers work seamlessly with LG webOS smart TVs. Razer will be the first company to obtain LG’s certification.
THe ULL Bluetooth will be used in premium LG OLED TVs and LG QNED TVs with refresh rates of 120Hz or higher that are scheduled to launch in 2025.
