MediaTek NB-IoT chip validated for LwM2M over NIDD
The company claims that this is the first global commercial readiness of LwM2M over NIDD. LwM2M over NIDD is an efficient IoT communications technique that offers security improvements, scalability and lower power.
LwM2M is used across Asia, Europe and the United States by major operators. NIDD (Non-IP Data Delivery) provides data- and power-efficient communications with an additional layer of security through pre-defined routing.
The MT2625 NB-IoT chip has wideband support for up to quad-band operation, allowing a single chip for the global marketplace. The ultra-efficient MCU provides extensive peripheral I/O in a tiny package size.
