The MEMS microphone market was worth about US$1.925 billion in 2022 and will increase by about 6.6 percent to US$2.05 billion in 2023, according to Technavio.
The market analyst forecasts a compound annual growth rate for the sector of 7.3 percent over the period 2022 to 2027.
The accelerating growth is being driven by the market for earphones and headphones equipped with microphones. The main challenge to the market is the declining average selling prices of MEMS microphones, Technavio said.
