MEMS pioneer to lead SEMI’s sensors group

Shemansky started his career in R&D at Motorola and was part of the team that brought the first commercially available MEMS transducers to market. He has held management positions at Akustica, Lumedyne Technologies, Sensor Platforms, and QuickLogic and was a co-author of the first MEMS text book, Sensor Technology and Devices. In his new position he will direct MSIG’s global activities, including standards, technical programs and conferences.

“We look forward to Frank drawing on his technology thought-leadership and business development acumen to bring members together to connect, collaborate and innovate with SEMI in order to help grow the MEMS and sensors markets,” said Ajit Manocha, CEO of SEMI, in a statement.
