The SM9541 requires a 3.3V power supply, has 14-bit resolution and provides an accuracy of +/- 1 percent of full scale. The long-term stability is 0.2 percent of full-scale offset per year. The unit has a digital output by way of an I2C interface. The unit is available with pressure ranges of 0.14, 0.3, 0.6, and 1.4 PSI. The operational temperature range is -5 degrees C to +65 degrees C.
The component includes a MEMS pressure sensor and a signal-conditioning IC to perform pressure calibration, temperature compensation, a-to-d conversion and provide the I2C interface. The pressure sensor housing is based on standard surface mount technology standards and features a JEDEC compliant SOIC-16 footprint.
The unit is suitable for applications in ventilators and anesthesia equipment, spirometers, sleep apnea detectors, the company said.
