The IIS3DWB vibration sensor and the supporting STEVAL-STWINKT1 multi-sensor evaluation kit are designed to quicken development of condition-monitoring systems. The STEVAL-STWINKT1 integrates the IIS3DWB with additional sensors, an ultra-low-power MCU and algorithms for vibration processing, Bluetooth wireless module, and USB connection. The device is packaged in a plastic enclosure with a battery. High-speed data-logger and cloud-dashboard utilities are included to help collect, analyze, and visualize the results.
The ultra-wide-bandwidth MEMS accelerometer is covered under ST’s 10-year availability assurance. Frequency response is designed to be fully flat and with low noise up to 6kHz and then provide a sharp cutoff with high attenuation to remove frequency-aliasing concerns. Low power consumption extends the operating lifetime of independently powered sensor nodes.
