MEN joins railway control and security technology consortium
Other consortium members include DB Netz AG, the Fraunhofer Institute, Sysgo and TU-Darmstadt. MEN will advise the research project on questions relating to safety architecture. Train operators have been turning to technology to remain competitive, but need higher levels of security to stop cyberattacks. Due to its experience with reliable and safety-critical hardware solutions in the transport sector, MEN can help the research team in an advisory capacity in order to bring together “Safety” and “Security” in the IT infrastructure and has already supplied the first hardware for tests.
