Mentor tools achieve functional safety certification
ISO 26262 is a unifying, industry-specific standard for functional safety and reliability of E/E systems in passenger cars. With the certification of these Mentor products, automotive development teams can now use both Mentor PCB design flow tools to achieve better predictability and higher productivity in ensuring functional safety.
Xpedition and PADS Professional Flows are certified for Safety Level 1 (TCL-1) ASIL A to ASIL D. Mentor’s PCB design flow facilitates the development entry, provides logical and functional schematic validation, and PCB layout. In addition to Xpedition and PADS Professional, Mentor Flows, Signal and Power Integrity, Thermal Analysis and New Product Introduction (NPI) are supported through the use of the appropriate HyperLynx and Valor NPI tools.
